December2
Ok, so I have been meaning to write part 2 of this epic visit to Spokane while it is still fresh in my mind, but my memory kind of sucks and it has been like a month, so anyway, here goes…
Where did I leave off… ah yes, heading out to the bars. So we head out to the first bar by foot and it seems like an alright place. Has pool tables and a decent amount of seating. I go ahead and buy a pitcher and we visit for a while. I believe we met Geneva’s sister for the first time. After not too long, someone finds out that our friend Andy who is getting married the next day is at a bar not too far down the street. So we finish what drinks we have and head on down there. Meanwhile, I am trying to contact our old college friend Chad to meet us there as well.
We get there and Andy is there with basically all of his groomsmen and the bar is pretty busy. We all crowd around and talk and reminisce about the good Ol’ WSU days. Soon after Chad arrives. For whatever reason I decided it was a good idea to carry a flask around with me for the night and then for whatever even dumber reason I decide to take it out in the middle of the bar and offer Chad a pull. About 2 seconds after I hand it to him a bartender comes by and grabs it and kicks Chad out. Kinda funny, but shitty too since he just got there. So I go ask the bartender if I can have the flask back and he agrees if I leave. So there Chad and I are (and 2 of his friends that came along) kicked out while everyone else is still inside the bar with about 30 mins until closing.
We decide to head to a mini mart down the road and meet everyone back at Geneva’s rather than just wait outside. So we walk to a minimart and buy two cases of beer then try to get a cab. As we are walking out of the mini mart, some guy walking in is all like “hey, do you party?” and one of Chad’s friends is all like yeah I do, what do you got? Apparently that is slang for do you want to buy some drugs. She almost does, but then her boyfriend convinces her not to. About 10 minutes later we manage to get a cab and after about 4 circles, lead him back to Geneva’s.
One problem… Geneva isn’t there yet and no one has a key. So the girl who tried to buy drugs is now getting all whiney that we are waiting outside (in the rain), the rest of us are just hoping Geneva is nearby and Geneva’s neighbor decides to come out and yell at us for being too loud. Quite entertaining. Soon, Geneva arrives and we all go in. From there, the rest of the night is a blur and I think I passed out shortly after getting inside. Or I blacked out… could be either, lol. I guess there was some drama and what not as well, but in the end I think all was good and it was a fun and entertaining night. A bit reminiscent of Pullman times even… and thats never bad.
The next day was Andy’s wedding, which was very nice. Nice ceremony, great food and a nice reception. That pretty much concluded this Spokane visit as we hit the road shortly after the wedding.
Ahh… but it was not long before I paid Spokane another visit… dun dun dun.
Stay tuned.
